Raise your hand if you’re still working on your new year, new you goals. It’s almost impossible not to catch the motivation that comes about each January. It’s a chance to start fresh and be your best self. In fact, throughout the year, we often create moments of change for ourselves with the intent to rejuvenate our lives. This can be a fresh coat of paint, a new haircut, spicing up your commute with a more scenic route, or tidying up your living or work space.
While it’s easy to get stuck in a creative rut, getting out can be a challenge. For content marketers, creative ruts are a looming threat. To stay relevant, you need to be quick. You need to be on top of platform updates (see trends below), responding to community users, optimizing your paid promotions, and recommending new concepts daily, with the goal of going viral. No pressure!

Ghosting is a cultural phenomenon where someone withdraws all communication with no apparent explanation. While ghosting is most commonly associated in the dating world, its popularity and cultural acceptance is allowing this behavior to become commonplace in our professional lives.

This week we attended the Social Recruiting Strategies Conference in Austin. Going into the conference, we had a few goals. First, we wanted to talk all things content marketing with a group of industry professionals who live and breathe it just like us. Second, we wanted to connect with old friends and coworkers. And finally, we wanted to expand our networks, aka, make new friends.
